BPAC | Bicycle and Pedestrian Advisory Commission of Durham, NC

On November 16, Durham City and County began collaboration on a countywide Comprehensive Bicycle Plan with an initial steering committee kickoff meeting. The two local governments have acquired local and federal funding to hire Durham-based bike/ped consultants, Greenways Incorporated, to complete the bicycle planning study. Over the next nine months, city and county staff will work with Greenways, Inc. and Durham citizens to complete the Comprehensive Bicycle Plan. The Plan will identify key bicycle routes, recommend policies and programs that encourage bicycle transportation, prioritize bike-related projects and suggest an implementation/funding strategy. The November meeting time for the Durham Bicycle and Pedestrian Advisory Commission (BPAC) has been changed. This month's meeting has been rescheduled to *Tuesday, November 29 @ 4:30pm*. The meeting will be held as a joint meeting with the Capitol Area MPO (CAMPO) Bike/Ped Stakeholder group at the *Triangle Transit Authority headquarters in RTP*. The address of the new meeting location is 68 TW Alexander Drive; Research Triangle Park, NC 27709. Members of the public are always welcome.
