Cruiser Tuesday, August 23rd

There is a small group trying to initiate a monthly CH/Carrboro Town Cruiser Ride on a trial basis. If successful it may take place more often.

The route for August will begin at the Clean Machine pkg. lot in Carrboro and tour two laps of the downtown circuit.

2 laps, piano(softly). No rules other than please obey traffic laws, act responsibly, chat it up.

For August, the ride will cruise on Tuesday the 23rd at 7:30pm (7:35 roll-out at latest). Road bikes, MTBs discouraged but if that's all you have, bring it (equal opportunity cruise). Commuters, cruisers, choppers, unicycles, freak bikes welcome. Coaster brakes encouraged. Please, no spandex. Theme attire strongly encouraged. For 8/23, theme will be "funky formal"...PTA Thrift shop style.

The idea is to pedal in good fun, no politics. Come on out for the stroll. Bring a date! Please pass this on to any who might find this their style, pace. Great for recovering "speed addicts". Email traceworks@hotmail.com or call 919-260-0670 with any questions. (see attached flier)

Hope you can make it.

Cheers, Matthew Lee

Bike! It's patriotic...

Thanks to Jack Edinger for this bike-themed photo from the Watts-Hillandale Neighborhood's annual Fourth of July parade. You can find more of Jack's photos from the same event here.
